To view the movies on this page, you'll need:

Due to the limitations of video compression technology, this format degrades the overall video and audio quality of the movies. To try and minimise these effects, most of the movies on this page are encoded using a fairly high encoding rate (1Mb/s). The downside to this is that the movie files are all quite large, ranging from a few mega bytes to many tens of mega bytes.

If you are unsure whether your system supports the QuickTime format, you may wish to download the following short test movie first.

Big Chill 2004 - Festival Edit

This film was shot, edited and shown at the Big Chill 2004. The footage was shot between Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon and the edit was finished late Saturday evening. The film was then shown on the Chill stage on Sunday evening during a DJ set by Nettie.

Big Chill 2003

All the footage was shot at the 2003 festival and is cut to be a diary of the three days. The movie starts on Thursday evening and runs through to Sunday evening.

My thanks go out to everyone involved in the video and especially to Dr. Mo for sorting out various editing and rendering problems.

London Eye Time Lapse

Continuing my interest in time lapse cinematography, and following an idea I had last summer, this short film gives a north/south view from the London Eye. The filming was done in October 2003 (the day after the Soxan 2nd Birthday Party in fact), but I've only recently (March 2004) managed to finish editing it. The film shows two sychronised views looking north and south and runs at 16 times real time.

Huge thanks go to my friend Adam Garstone, who helped make this project possible - he filmed the south view and provided invaluable editing advice.
